The Kit Bag

I saw him the very first time in the ground holding some kit bags for the players. I wondered he must be some poor fellow earning a living here working as an apprentice. He was observant for sure, keeping his gaze and concentration on very small details possible. I never saw him taking notes or points. Many times I saw him coordinating and communicating with the fellow men keeping a smile on his face.

I have been visiting this cricket play ground for quite some time, i like the fresh air and some natural greenery around me. Helps me clear my head. For some reason I became interested in this fellow, working in a different style and soon it became quite obvious that he was incorporating different ideas during his work. You would ask why him, the obvious answer was he felt happy in what he was doing, as I have observed many other people working here in the ground performing their duties as Duty, with less interest and no vision of what they could possibly become.

Few months have passed and it was quite interested than a shock to see him in the kit. The very Kit he was transporting in and out of the ground. I felt achievement is his eyes and self esteem in his actions, yes this poor fellow seems to start net practicing as what was seemed to me. I saw conviction in his moves and the coach felt happy with him and guiding him along the moves. I was glad to see him on this stage even i never thought to see him in that position, but I was glad.

This was final match between my city and the neighbors. This fellow was giving a very hard time to both the bowlers and the batters of the opponent team. Even though he was enlisted as Bowler but seemed to have upgraded to all-rounder since last few matches. His team needed him in a bad situation and this guy came up as promising young chap. The match was about to over but the victory was more than obvious. The last over was done and we won the match. To be very honest I am never a cricket enthusiast but him winning really gave me a sense of achievement.

A Journey from being an apprentice and just a keen observant from a distance of the game of Cricket, this young fellow has proven his strenght of achieving Goal, setup in his mind and proved every nai sayer wrong he came across. He could have ended up as a cleaner for the rest of his life, he could have joined as a admin guy or an accountant in the management. That's was others did in his fellow team of apprenticeship.

So how did he was able to acheive that???
